Common questions
Is my child too young?
Titans is for ages 3-6. If you are unsure whether your child is ready, message the club before booking.
Is my child too nervous?
Nerves are normal. Trials are relaxed, and children can settle in at their own pace while parents stay and watch.
Do parents stay?
Parents stay and watch trials for under-18s.
What should we wear?
Loose-fitting clothing suitable for PE or the gym is best, ideally a tracksuit. Shorts are not recommended.
Do students train barefoot?
Yes. Students train barefoot on the mats.
Do we need to buy a uniform straight away?
No. Trial lessons can be done in suitable loose-fitting clothing. The uniform is included in the new student joining fee if you continue after the trial.
Are beginners welcome?
Yes. White belt classes are beginner-friendly, and adults can start in the mixed-grade adult class.
Am I too old to start as an adult?
No. Adults do not need previous experience, and they train separately from teens.
Do I need to be fit already?
No. Fitness can build gradually through training.
How do gradings work?
Students are invited to grade when they are ready. Not everyone grades every time, and that is treated as part of proper progression.
Do students have to compete?
No. Competition is available for students who want it and are ready, but it is not compulsory.
